i am skipping week 10 because we were in maui. all my maui pictures have been put into digital templates waiting for paper, embellishments and journaling.
not much going on this week. we spent most of the week adjusting to being home after vacation- unpacking, laundry, house work, bill paying, chores and all that not fun stuff.
we did squeeze in a visit to grandma & grandpas, a work appreciation party at golden gate fields and lots of crafts.
i used bella gypsy’s the little things digi kit and various other digital elements
about my process:
i start with the templates. i think so far i have only used Becky Higgins PL templates but have stashed so many others that i may or may not use.
i then go thru my photos for the week (colletcting them from my iPhone, G11, 7D and mark ii) and insert them into the templates. i try to use most of them or at least enough to tell our story from the week.
then i go hunting for a digital kit to use. i use Adobe Bridge to organize my Digital Elements. I have a Previews Folder and I rated all kits that I would like to use in my PL album with 3 stars.
Once the main papers are placed into the template, I start looking for fillers- embellishments, word art, journal cards, etc.
Last is the journaling. Every day and sometimes couple of times throughout the day I send myself emails with stories and thoughts from our day and keep these emails in a “Project Life” folder within Gmail.
I am finding that I have a lot of content so I have to pick and choose what to add to my Weekly Templates.
Later I can create separate albums to help tell a missed story or to elaborate on an event/activity/memory I wasn’t able to do so in my PL album.
For me, right now, this is working and I love it!
