This Summer the Girls wanted me to teach them how to Hula Hoop.
Well, that is very difficult to do when you are VERY pregnant.
So the other day we gave it a try…
As reigning Champion at the Lake Berryessa Hula Hoop Contest (this is true! I have the Pineapple Water Bottle Trophy to prove it!), I was up for the challenge.
It started with me demonstrating. I was a little (ok, a lot) rusty. But it quickly came back to me.
And I received praises…”That is so cool, Mom.”
The Girls felt a bit defeated when they couldn’t do it right away and moved onto other things like making “soup” aka dirt, leaves and water.
Emily just enjoyed me spinning it around her as she threw her hands up! lol
During PE at School, Bean learned how to roll her head, hips and ankles.
I saw her doing this the other day. It looked like she was doing some Dirty Dancing move and I asked her what she was doing. She explained: “exercising for my heart.”
I told her she needed to do those same hip rolls to Hula Hoop…and she did! and she rocked it! you go sister!!
I got it on Video!
Proud Mommy!
up next, Cartwheels!
Try doing those when you are 8 months pregnant! lol
