full tummy. full heart.
we enjoyed a date night at Simply Fondue tonight.
and it was good.
good food. DELISH food.
good company.
we met in the 7th Grade.
what was that? 22 years ago?
married for 6 years.
3 kids now.
we’ve been tired lately.
we have a newborn.
we have a strong willed 2.5 year old
we have a kindergartener who is testing her attitude boundaries.
so it was good, real good to get away for a few hours.
the Girls asked us why we were going out to dinner {without them}?
we explained to them what an anniversary is and how we were celebrating our 6th.
we explained how important it was for us to spend time together {without kiddos}.
we need to do it more too.
it really is magical.
we forgot about dirty diapers and sleepless nights and time outs.
we talked about Junior High and High School.
we talked about our Kids.
we talked about us.
and we were happy and had a good time.
we need to be reminded to do this more often.
we are lucky enough to have such a supportive family.
hear that grandma and grandpa?
what are you doing next Saturday night? lol
