buried…a scrappy share

i don’t know if it is the season, but i am getting the itch to be crafty, specifically the itch to SCRAP!
but where do i start?
i am BURIED in photos!
this might have something to do with the amount of photos i take! oy!
i haven’t finished katelyn’s first year album (actually haven’t even started it!). our wedding album is also not complete! i started creating Em’s first week home album, but with her early arrival, i didn’t get that done either!

the thought of being so behind is quite daunting!

where do i begin?

i think i am going to take baby steps.
set an attainable goal and tackle it. then set another and so on and so forth!

i would like to start my December Daily and Journal Your Christmas albums too! i was thinking about skipping it this year (this is my 4th year!) but i am not going to. its emmy’s first christmas and i’ve got to document that.

i am part of a Challenge at Scrapvillage to creat 60 pages by the end of November. yikes!

thank goodness for digi-scrapping. it has allowed me to be creative and get some pics scrapped.

well…better get scrappin’!

UPDATED: the above was written last week and this weekend i made a point to feed my creative soul and SCRAP! it was so much fun!
it helped that this past weekend was DSD: Digital Scrapbook Day and Designer Digitals had an all day chat with Freebies and a store wide sale! So did Sweet Shoppe Designs, Elemental Scraps and Scrap Orchard– my favorite digital stores!

i’ve shared in the past how cool and easy Digital Templates are- I just love them! remember this post: feeding my creative soul?
where i share how i like to create a digital template based on a layout that inspires me?
it’s no secret that i adore Laura Vegas’ scrap style- and she is a sweetheart too! a BIG congrats to her for making CK’s 2011 Dream Team! Her second year!
i took one of her awesome layouts:

and created a digital template in Photoshop CS4 with my creative spin on it:

and then created my own digital lift of Laura’s layout:

easy-peasy, right? and cute if i do say so myself!

and a gift to you for reading through this entire post- you can download my digital template so you can get ur scrap on too!
and some more scrappy goodness:

I also signed up for Kayleigh Wiles’ Template Manipulation Class at BPS. Should be fun!!
