i don’t know how it happened so fast…my oldest (my baby!) is off to Kindergarten today.
she is ready.
i know she is ready.
she is smart.
she is ready to soak it all up and learn more.
she is ready to meet new friends
and find her own way.
of course, i worry about her, b/c after all, she is still my baby.
will always be.
but after seeing her interact with other kids and her sister on various play dates,
i know she is ready.
she even went on a play date with her sister and some very sweet friends without me!
is this the start of it?
where my little girl doesn’t need her mama anymore?
maybe she will start to need me in new ways.
in whatever way(s) she needs me, i will figure it out and be there for her.
last night we went down to her school- just the 2 of us
to find out her teacher and classroom and she met a class mate.
a boy named, zachery.
that has to be a good sign, right?
i can’t wait for her to come home after school and tell me all about her new teacher,
and studies, and projects and playground gossip and friends.
what an utterly exciting time for her!
